Summer Sailing Camp – Dinghy Adventures in Terre-Sainte
The Ultimate Summer Experience on Lake Geneva Our Summer Dinghy Camps (RS Feva) are the perfect way for children and teens to dive into the world of sailing. Located in the picturesque setting of Crans-près-Céligny, we provide a safe and exhilarating environment for expats and locals alike to master the winds of the Petit-Lac.
What Makes Crans the Best Choice?
Many families in the region hesitate between the larger schools in Nyon or Coppet. At Club Nautique de Crans, we differentiate ourselves through our “Club Spirit.” We offer a boutique camp experience where safety and fun go hand-in-hand with professional coaching. It’s not just a sailing course; it’s a chance for your children to integrate into the Terre-Sainte community and make lifelong friends.
The RS Feva: The star of double-handed dinghies.
Modern, fun, and sturdy, the RS Feva is the ideal boat for learning to sail in pairs. Unlike the Optimist, where you sail alone, here everything depends on communication!
-
Assigned roles: We learn to alternate between the positions of Helmsman (the person who steers) and Crew (the person who manages the headsail and balance).
-
Sailing sensations: Equipped with an asymmetric spinnaker (balloon mainsail), the Feva offers exhilarating acceleration downwind.
-
Safety: This is a stable boat that allows you to learn without fear, while still offering excellent performance.
Crew: 2 people (helmsman and crew member)
Length: 3.64 m
Rigging: Mainsail, jib, and asymmetrical spinnaker (7m²)
An unforgettable summer camp on the lake.
No more screens, it's time to get out in the fresh air! Our summer camps are designed to offer children and teenagers a real immersion in water sports. Over five consecutive days, the progress made is spectacular, whatever their level on the first day! Our goal? To help them become independent!
This week's schedule:
- Navigation: Learning sailing techniques, tacking, and wind management on an Optimist dinghy.
- Safety & Environment: Understand the weather, respect the lake, and follow boating rules.
- Games & Fun: Because it's vacation time, sessions include balance games, swimming, and challenges between friends.
How should I dress?
- Life jacket (provided).
- Sailing shoes or old sneakers (mandatory).
- Shorts or swimsuit.
- Technical T-shirt or Lycra*.
- Windbreaker depending on weather conditions.
- Sunscreen, water bottle, hat, and sunglasses (secured!)
- A towel and a change of dry clothes for lunch break.
* Cotton is a material to avoid. Once wet, it takes a very long time to dry.
A complete list will be sent to you by email before the start of camp.
All-Inclusive package for parents' peace of mind.
Our summer camps are designed to make family planning easier:
- Full care: Your children are welcome from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Meals included: No need to pack a picnic! Lunch is eaten together at the club (included in the price), a key moment for team building.
- Varied program: Technical morning sessions, convivial lunches, afternoons of raids, regattas, or water sports.
