Description

The Topaz 14: Fun and fast learning

Forget slow sailing! The Topaz 14 is a modern, lightweight, and powerful catamaran, specially designed for children and teenagers.

  • Immediate sensations: From the very first turns, you can feel the acceleration.

  • Double command: You sail with a partner (a helmsman and a crew member) and learn to coordinate your actions.

  • Technique: This is the ideal sail for learning how to use the trapeze (hanging outside the boat) and the spinnaker (the large sail for downwind sailing).

Why sail in spring?

Spring is a key period for young sailors:

  • A gentle start: We review the basics (rigging the boat, knots, safety) so you can be independent this summer.

  • Varied conditions: Spring often offers interesting thermal winds in the afternoon, perfect for making progress.

  • Peaceful setting: The lake is still relatively uncrowded, offering a huge playground for trainees.

Program and Levels

Our instructors tailor their teaching methods to the group:

  • Discovery Level: Getting to grips with the boat, understanding the wind, first tacking maneuvers, and managing balance.

  • Advanced level: For those who have already sailed. We work on speed, fine adjustments, trapeze exit, and spinnaker maneuvers.

Special Spring Equipment

Be careful, even if the air warms up, the lake water stays cool in spring! Good equipment is crucial for your teenager’s comfort:

  • Essential neoprene wetsuit: A 4/3 mm full-body wetsuit is highly recommended (or rented if available).

  • Windbreaker: To protect yourself from splashes and cold wind.

  • Sailing shoes: Required to protect your feet and keep them warm.

Équipement

Comment s'habiller ?
