Last weekend saw the 86th edition of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud. Members of the Crans Sailing Club were well represented on the starting line, with notable results in several categories.
Victory for Bernard Vananty
In the flying monohull category, Bernard Vananty, our Junior Manager, took first place. An excellent technical performance that highlights his expertise in this demanding category of foiling boats.
Charlotte Lerch just off the podium
Charlotte Lerch, an instructor at the sailing school, had a remarkable race at the helm of her M2. Accompanied by Franck Cammas, she finished in 4th place. The final was extremely close: the duo finished just 2 minutes off the podium and 5 minutes off victory. A “chocolate medal” that reflects the very high level of competition.
Our members’ results
Other crews from the club took part and had to contend with changeable weather conditions:
-
Tony Lerch (Ventcoulis) put in a fine performance, finishing 5th in TCF2.
-
In TCF3, Manuel Sancosme and Christian Derod had a more difficult race, hampered by the light winds that affected part of the event.
-
Many other CNC members were also on the water, competing as crew members on various boats in the fleet.
The club congratulates all participants for their commitment during this edition.
